Garuda of Cambell

The first of the three tragic prince characters in the Nagahama Romance Trilogy, Garuda of Cambell from the anime "Combattler V"

A cambellian, he can change his appearance from a ble skinned blonde prince to a bird monster, Garuda is the General of the Cambell invasionary force under his mother, Queen Oreana. He was thwarted time and again by the Earth's Super Robot, the Combattler V numerous times and he eventually fell from favor with his mother.

When Garuda was dismissed, one of his subordinates, [who was carrying a torch for him, a fact known but dismissed by Garuda] Mia, tried to save Garuda by piloting a Magma Beast against Combattler V, Mia died in this battle starting the downward spiral of Garuda.

Later on, he discovers that he's not even Garuda's son. he's just one of an android series created to find Oreana a perfect "son." This drove Garuda to despair and finishing a previously unfinished Magma Beast the "Big Garuda."

During the final battle of the first season, Oreana confronts Combattler V but got killed by Garuda instead for all her megalomania. Hyoma, the leader of the battler team asked gim to throw down his arms, that he no longer have a reason to fight. Garuda gritted his teeth, and duelled with Combattker V saying that he has nothing, his past was a lie and his blind loyalty to Oreana leading to Mia's death... the only thing that he could have... is death... as a true Warrior of Cambell.
